Shipping & Returns Policy

1. Manufacturing Lead Times & Turnaround

Because custom mailer boxes are converted to order, lead times consist of two components: manufacturing duration and freight transit time.

• Standard Production Lead Time: Typically 7 to 10 business days following final digital CAD dieline approval and payment receipt.
• Expedited Rush Production: Available upon factory capacity evaluation for urgent seasonal or product launch deadlines. Contact your production coordinator prior to ordering.
• Proofing Stage: Prepress digital vector proofs are provided within 24 to 48 hours of initial artwork upload.

2. Freight & Shipping Methods

All shipments depart from our centralized Midwest manufacturing and distribution facility in Chicago, IL, optimizing freight transit across North America:

• Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) Freight: Wholesale orders (generally 500 to 5,000+ units) are packed flat, strapped, edge-protected, and shrink-wrapped onto standard 40" x 48" GMA wooden pallets.
• Full Truckload (FTL): High-volume enterprise runs (10,000+ to 100,000+ boxes) are coordinated via dedicated semi-trailers directly to your 3PL or fulfillment center.
• Parcel Delivery (FedEx / UPS Ground): Reserved for sample kits, pre-production mockups, or smaller low-weight carton runs.
• Client Carrier Pickups (Collect / FOB Origin): Clients wishing to utilize their own freight accounts or preferred third-party carriers may arrange dock appointments with our shipping department.

3. Delivery Requirements & Receiving Guidelines

To ensure safe and seamless receipt of palletized corrugated goods, commercial consignees must observe the following receiving protocols:

• Dock vs. Liftgate Service: Standard LTL freight quotes assume a commercial loading dock or on-site forklift. If your facility requires a liftgate truck or inside delivery, this must be requested at the time of quotation.
• Inspection upon Arrival: Inspect all pallets prior to releasing the carrier driver. Verify that plastic stretch wrap and corner boards are intact, and count the delivered pallet tally against the carrier’s Bill of Lading (BOL).
• Documenting Damage on BOL: If any outer carton damage, crushed corners, or moisture exposure is visible, write "Damaged Pallet - Subject to Inspection" explicitly on the carrier's delivery receipt (BOL) before signing.

4. Custom Packaging Return Policy

Custom corrugated mailer boxes, printed cartons, and bespoke inserts are engineered and converted to unique client-specified dimensions, board grades, and branded artwork. Consequently:

• No Returns for Buyer's Remorse or Size Miscalculations: Once a client has formally approved the CAD dieline and digital proof, the order cannot be returned or refunded due to client dimension errors, copy oversights, or cancelled marketing campaigns.
• Stock Unprinted Sample Kits: Standard sample boxes and swatch kits are non-returnable once dispatched.

5. Manufacturing Defects & Quality Claims

Mailer Box Factory stands behind our structural engineering and converting standards. If a manufacturing defect occurs that departs materially from your approved dieline proof or agreed specifications:

• Notification Window: The Client must notify our quality control desk in writing within 10 business days of freight delivery.
• Claim Submission Details: Email sales@mailerboxfactory.com with your order number, a description of the defect, and high-resolution photographs illustrating the structural or printing discrepancy.
• Remediation: Upon verification by our packaging engineers, Mailer Box Factory will promptly remanufacture and rush-ship replacement cartons at our sole expense, or issue a corresponding commercial credit for the defective quantity.
